Our Story

B Flat Dueling Pianos was founded in 2022 after beginning performances under different names in 2021. Created by Brian Boyce, with co-founders Kori Boyce, Sean Robertson, and Michael Carrandi, the company was built on the idea of making live music more personal, professional, and meaningful for both musicians and audiences.

The idea for B Flat grew during the pandemic, when Brian noticed a disconnect between large nationwide entertainment companies, their musicians, and their clients. He envisioned a small, family-style business that would close that gap by focusing on connection, flexibility, and quality. That vision became reality when B Flat launched to provide dueling pianos for events in Austin, TX, setting a new standard for how live shows could be both professional and inviting.

Since then, B Flat has grown into a trusted name for private and public gatherings of all sizes. Our mission is to bring joy, laughter, and energy back into people’s lives through music. Brian Boyce

Brian Boyce is the CEO and lead musician of B Flat Dueling Pianos, bringing more than 15 years of live music experience and over a decade in piano bars to every performance. His journey began unexpectedly in 2014, when a colleague invited him to audition for a piano bar despite him not even knowing what the format was at the time. With a background in piano from a young age, Brian quickly advanced after training, becoming a full-time player and discovering his passion for creating energy-filled experiences for live audiences.

Today, Brian leads B Flat with the same enthusiasm that fueled his early nights on stage. Known for caring deeply about each client’s experience, he has built a reputation where word-of-mouth and repeat clients speak louder than accolades.

Outside of music, Brian values time with his family and enjoys hockey, concerts, and video games. His mix of leadership, performance, and personal passion continues to shape B Flat Dueling Pianos into a company known for meaningful entertainment and memorable events.

Our Team

Calvin Gainey

Calvin Gainey is a dynamic pianist whose style bridges country soul, classic rock and oldies, and smooth yacht rock. A lifelong musician, Calvin began playing piano at just four years old and gave his first public performance at eight in Las Vegas. Over the years, he has performed for countless events — from corporate celebrations and weddings to church gatherings and holiday showcases — always delivering music that connects, uplifts, and entertains audiences of all ages.

Hailey Stockton

Hailey Stockton has her bachelors in music she received from Texas Tech University in 2014. Hailey has been doing dueling pianos all over Texas for nearly 10 years. Having majored in voice, Hailey uses hers to captivate crowds and leave them wanting more.

Bradley Freeman, Jr

Bradley Freeman, Jr Is the official performer of The Pigeon with Mo Willems Workshop, he also plays Tamir, Wes, Timmy Twiddlebug and many others on the Emmy Award winning program Sesame Street. He is a performer with the Disney Muppets and has worked on shows like The View, Sesame Street, Helpsters, The Muppets Mayhem and more.

Quintin Dubec

Quintin Dubec is a multi-instrumentalist from Taylor, TX, known for his work on keys, saxophone, guitar, and vocals. He began performing at age 10 with his father’s Czech polka band and later studied music at Temple Jr. College and Texas Tech. Over the years, Quintin has toured extensively across the U.S., Mexico, and Europe with major artists including Tracy Byrd and Rick Trevino. He has played with numerous Texas bands and honed his skills as a Performer/Dueling Pianos musician at Louie Louie’s Piano Bar in Lubbock. Now based in Central Texas, he continues to perform with, B Flat Dueling Pianos, the Walburg Boys, and his original band, while in 2021 founding the Dubec School of Music, where he teaches the next generation piano, guitar, bass, saxophone, and drums.

Ray Palousek

Ray Palousek is a pianist, singer, songwriter & music educator from Holland, TX with over 15 years of performance experience. Palousek holds a Bachelors degree in Jazz Performance from Middle Tennessee State University. Palousek is a former cruise ship musician of 5 years, performing in 48 countries & territories. Ray now resides in TX, where he entertains crowds in Dueling Pianos and Piano Bar across all genres of music all around the state.

Dominic Blayke Holsome

Spending nearly half of his life entertaining crowds across every genre, Dominic Blayke Holsome is a dueling pianist who can bring any room to life—literally. By day, he’s a licensed funeral director and embalmer; by night, he’s resurrecting classics from every decade. You could say he knows how to handle a stiff crowd, so expect Dom to bring the party to any event!

Ryan M Teter

Ryan M Teter is a lifelong singer, multi-instrumentalist, and entertainer who has been on the Texas dueling/sing-along piano bar scene since 2011. He started music lessons as a toddler as soon as he was tall enough to reach the piano, and fell so in love with smashing the keys that he dedicated his life to turning his passion into a rewarding career. Armed with a massive repertoire of songs, a razor-sharp dry wit, and a willingness to try just about anything once (musically!), Ryan can’t wait to party with you at your next event.

Jarrett Wenzel

Jarrett Wenzel is a multi-instrumentalist from Westampton, New Jersey. His passion for music took off at age 12 when he got his first drum set. Since then, he’s played hundreds of shows and contributed to countless recordings. After moving to Austin in 2021, he quickly immersed himself in teaching, performing, and drumming for dueling piano shows. Today, he splits his time between performing, teaching, session work, and audio engineering. He describes himself as a work in progress—always learning, always growing.

Jonathan Phelps

Jon Phelps is a freelance musician and private lesson teacher based in DFW. His musical journey began at the age of 10, playing clarinet in band. In high school, he joined the jazz ensemble on the saxophone before finally finding his true passion for the drum set his senior year. Jon went on to study music at Collin College in plano before transferring to the University of Texas at Arlington, where he received a BM in Jazz performance.

Jon's specialty is Jazz, but he is well versed in a myriad of styles and genres including rock, pop, r&b, and funk. Having perfomed and recorded with big bands to bass duo to party cover bands, Jon is comfortable playing in any instrumentation or setting.
